The Message of Grace
Honestly, I was not prepared for it. I was opposed to it mentally, but not spiritually. When I finally opened my mind and became willing to receive something contrary to the status quo, things changed all for the better.
Some may ask, “Do you really believe all these great teachers and theologians have been wrong for hundreds, even thousands, or years?! How selfish.”
My response to that question is this: Yes.
And don’t think I’m the only one who believes this. There are just as many “great teachers and theologians” who believed radical grace, the most prominent of whom were present in the first and second century churches.
I am not afraid of persecution, ridicule, criticism, ostracization, death, or anything else any religious or non-religious person could do to me. Oddly enough, more religious people hate this message than non-believers. Seems accurate considering religious people were the ones who crucified Jesus, murdered Stephen, and persecuted Paul. Nonetheless, it was by scandalous grace that they were all forgiven. It was by grace that Paul was redeemed after persecuting someone who was preaching this very message.
Non-believers are not in the “out-crowd”. But neither are religious people.
Let us open our hearts and minds to the Gospel that IS Jesus.
Grace and peace.
